S1 - The own workforce

Our values provide guidance on how NIBE sees issues affecting sustainable development. We have separated them into eight areas that we call our Code of Conduct. Together with our business principles, they form the basis of our business operations. NIBE’s successful history has largely depended on the skill and experience of our employees. Digitization and new technology offer new opportunities to improve production processes and working methods.

Health and safety

We work systematically to improve health and safety at all our facilities to create safe workplaces and reduce ill-health. Reporting and monitoring takes place quarterly. The sustainability team, together with the business area board, then conducts ongoing dialogs with the subsidiaries, with a focus on companies with a high LTIF (Lost Time Injury Frequency) rate. Work-related injuries can vary greatly depending on the company and the type of production.

NIBE’s values

Our values highlight respect for human rights and good working conditions. Our commitments in respect of good working conditions include offering employees skills development opportunities. We also undertake to pay wages and compensation according to agreements, legislation and regulations, and to reward good performance and exceptional effort.

Subsidiaries in the Group may have their own, local policies relating to employees. These are not covered in this report, and the policies mentioned here apply to the whole Group.
