NIBE takes an active approach to being a positive force in the transition to a more energy-efficient and fossil-free society. 

Local communities

We want to support the local communities in which we operate and therefore prioritize contributions and sponsorship agreements that benefit these. We prioritize agreements that support our values and strengthen our relationships with customers and partners. 

 

Globala omställningen

NIBE arbetar aktivt för att vara en positiv drivkraft i omställningen till ett mer energieffektivt och fossilfritt samhälle. Detta arbete sker främst i form av medlemskap i olika branschorganisationer såväl nationellt som internationellt, men även genom direktkontakt med EU-kommissionen. Ledningen är ytterst ansvarig och avrapportering sker löpande. Genom branschorganisationer som exempelvis EHPA (European Heat Pump Association), GeoExchange Coalition samt Eurovent involveras NIBE i utformningen av ny lagstiftning eller standarder som påverkar våra produktportföljer, stöttar i organisationernas kontakter med relevanta myndigheter samt får ta del av viktig information.

 




The global transition

Where we have direct contact with policy makers, such as the European Commission, this is aimed at driving the transition on a scientific basis. For example, NIBE’s efforts to ensure fossil gas boilers are subject to stricter requirements under Ecodesign are linked to its energy labeling. In another example, we have worked with a university and a national industry organization to produce a study showing how much free cooling a ground source heat pump can provide. The aim of the study has been to make this information visible in the energy labeling of these products. Neither NIBE Industrier or any of our subsidiaries are themselves included in the EU Transparency Register or similar transparency registers in a Member State.

 

NIBE is involved in several research projects

An important part of our work on impacts is participation in national as well as international research projects. These projects are usually led by seats of learning or research institutions and we can contribute as a reference group, technical experts or by providing products or components.
