Royal Visit at NIBE in Markaryd

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden visited NIBE in Markaryd today in conjunction with the trip made by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences to the province of Småland.

The visit, with a delegation of about 25 people, was designated as “IVA’s Royal Technology Trip” with the title The Småland spirit – a model for the power of Swedish innovation.

“It feels both encouraging and flattering to have the opportunity
to demonstrate that Swedish production is highly competitive if
it is run with commitment and a long-term approach,” says Gerteric Lindquist.

This is King Carl XVI Gustaf’s first visit to NIBE, but there are
NIBE products – both tiled ovens and heat pumps – in the royal palaces.

More than 1,000 people work on production, development, sales etc.
at NIBE’s facilities in Markaryd. The NIBE Group has a total of 8,000
employees and annual sales of about SEK 8 billion.
